These Terms govern your use of Islet, operated by JW Styles (QLD) Pty Ltd as trustee for the Tanmar Trust ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
Islet provides general wellness estimates for water, calorie, protein, fiber, carbohydrate, and fat targets based on common formulas (such as the Mifflin-St Jeor equation) and general nutrition guidance. It also lets you record GLP-1 medication doses, injections and side effects, and menstrual cycle data, purely as a personal log and to help you spot patterns to discuss with your prescriber or doctor. None of this — targets, cycle predictions, or anything else in the app — is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a substitute for guidance from a doctor, dietitian, pharmacist, or other qualified health professional. Always consult a healthcare professional before starting, stopping, or changing a medication, or before making significant changes to your diet, exercise, or weight-management approach — particularly if you have an existing health condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a history of disordered eating.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to legally use the app in your region.
Some features — estimating nutrition from a meal photo, and the Islet AI chat assistant — send the photo or message you submit, along with relevant context from your own logged data, to a third-party AI provider to generate a response. These are estimates and general information, generated automatically, and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Don't rely on them for medical decisions.
Some features require a paid subscription, billed and processed by the Apple App Store (or Google Play, where offered). Your subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, via your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Refunds are handled according to Apple's or Google's refund policies, not by us directly. If you're an Australian consumer, nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You agree not to misuse the app — including attempting to access other users' data, disrupt the service, or use the app for any unlawful purpose.
The app is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that calculated targets, AI-generated estimates, or cycle predictions are accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific circumstances, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JW Styles (QLD) Pty Ltd (as trustee for the Tanmar Trust) is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have where you live.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
